This full-day tour starts from Beirut. The first stop will be the Koura Plain where we’ll see the first Roman temple. The tour resumes by driving uphill on the Mount Lebanon for half an hour to reach the mannerly village of Hadath El-Jebbe for a short morning coffee break. The momentum will protract to the wonderful cedar reserve of the town Tannourine; the group will take a short walk in the reserve and reach the Tannourine guest house for a typical mountain (countryside) lunch treat. After lunch, the group will momentum up to visit the Baloou Balaa (Balaa Sinkhole), famous for its three overlapping natural bridges. The group will then go through the Laqlouq village on to reach the village of Aqoura to visit the remains of what used to be a vital warmed-over roman road. On our way when to the shores of the Mediterranean we’ll stop by two increasingly small Roman temples surpassing driving when to Beirut. Departure 9am from Beirut. Return early evening. USD 145 per person Includes: Transportation in private vehicle, guidance, reserve archway tickets, lunch. Does not include: Alcoholic beverages. Time of the Year: April to December Minimum 3 persons Step 1 - Roman Temple of Qasr Naous The village of Aïn Akrine hosts the Roman temple ramified tabbed "Qasr Naous" well-balanced by two temples. The first one that was defended to the god Helios, and the other one  kept underachieved. Located on a hilltop well-nigh 600 meters whilom the sea, the site offers scenic view on the Koura region and in specimen of well-spoken weather one can see the Mediterranean coastline until Syria. Step 2 - Village of Hadath el JEbbe The typical Lebanese village of Hadath el Jebbeh, located 1,500m whilom sea level overlooks the Qadisha Valley as well as the Mediterranean sea. The village is known for its Cedars Forest, St Daniel historical church, old water mills, warmed-over tombs and of undertow traditional houses. Step 3 - Cedar Reserve of Tannourine The landscape and elevation of the historic valley of Ain-Al-Raha is platonic for cedars trees. The Tannourine cedar forest contains some 60,000 plus trees, making it the largest cedar forest reserve in Lebanon. The Tannourine cedar reserve is moreover home to cold-loving trees like: Cypressus, Pinus, Abies, Populus and others; the reserve is a very rich ecosystem in planter species. Animal life is, also, well-healed at the Tannourine reserve. The forest is inhabited by eagles, owls, robins, hyenas, boars, squirrels, snakes, and bats among others. The Tannourine region has many hiking trails that varies in effort level but are worldwide in their scenic scenery and landscape. The sikhole is moreover tabbed "the Cave of the Three Bridges". This 300m deep subterranean was fully mapped in the 1980s by the Spéléo club du Liban. A must see natural wonder in Lebanon. Step 5 - The Nahr Ibrahim Roman Road Beside a spectacular view on the Mount Lebanon, the Nahr Ibrahim Valley region contains small archaeological treasures. Indeed, this valley was an important road leading from the tailspin to the municipality of Yammouneh in the Bekaa to finally reach Baalbek formerly tabbed Helipolis. One can see waddle carved stairs with inscriptions dating from the Emperor Domitian, as well as remains of two small temples withal the warmed-over road. Bring with you If you're on tourist visa, don't forget your passport. If you're resident, take your ID or residency card.
